I have an iphone 5s and an ipad air. This week I noticed that when I connect my ipad to wifi while my iphone is connected via lte, shortly after, my iphone connects to the wifi. If I go on my iphone and tell it to forget the wifi network, shortly after, my ipad disconnects.

Is that supposed to happen? Are wifi settings shared across devices in iCloud? If so, how can I disable that?

My wifi at work is slower than lte so i want my iphone on lte but I want the ipad on the wifi because that's the only option for the ipad. Amy help would be appreciated.

I have noticed this as well....Not only iOS device wifi sync but on my macbook too!

IIRC, disable keychain in iCloud settings on your devices.

I don't really want to disable
Keychain though. I like keychain i just want independent control over wifi on my devices.

Unfortunately that's what seems to sync those WiFi settings (again, if I recall correctly from a few previous threads on this topic).

Control isn't removed you can toggle wifi off any time you so desire

I have seen this too. The very first day I brought my ipad to office it connected itself to the office wifi without me having to do anything :D
