Do iPhone (winterboard) themes work with the iPad?

I have and iPad 2, and have never jailbroken an iPad before (I've jailbroken iPod Touch, though). And, I'm wondering how to iPhone themes 'translate' on to the iPad. Does it work properly?

For example, if I downloaded an theme specifically designed for the iPhone, will it work just the same as the iPhone - just bigger?

And, what about widgets (specifically designed for the iPhone) - through Winterboard - will they be bigger? Or, the same pixels as they're on the iPhone.
