I wonder if the iPhones' IPS panels are true x-bit panels or if they use temporal dithering aka frame rate control to reach higher color depths. Also I'd like to know how many bits the panels have exactly and if different OEMs deliver different technology so that iPhone users end up with different displays. Does anybody have information about this?
