I plugged in my Linksys WUSBF54G but when I go to network settings, the only options are Ethernet, Airport, and Firewire...nothing about the adapter (which is in the usb slot)

I disabled the airport and get no signal? I know linksys doesnt have apple drivers, but is there any third part app that offers it?

BTW, I just want to see if it give me better speed than the internal Airport

Hi stateofmind,

I don't know for sure about a Linksys card, but I have a wireless Linksys router WRT54G, and it works just great with my MacBook.

From what I've gathered of different sources, your built-in Airport will be as fast if not faster than the Linksys.

i used to get 10mbps on with the linksys on a pc, the airport on the mac is only getting me 3mbps
