Can you adjust the behavior of the alerts dropdown on top right to not dismiss when you middle-click or CMD+click to open links in new tabs?

Right clicking and selecting open in new tab seems to work as far as leaving it up, I wonder why the other methods aren't doing the same.
Ha, that is weird. It shouldn't be different. At least, I have a workaround for now even though it is much longer.
