"Do Not Disturb" on iPhone with an Apple Watch?

I was just wondering if anyone uses their Apple Watch with the iPhone in "Do Not Disturb" mode on?

That is what I have been doing with my pebble and I get all notifications fine. I just didn't want my iPhone screen to turn on for every notifications.

You don't need to! If you're wearing the watch the phone won't illuminate or buzz when a notification arrives.

When I put my phone in DND, my watch goes into it too. I can't find a way to have the watch not in DND while the phone is.

The  watch has really forced me to manage my notifications on both it and my phone.

The default setting for Do Not Disturb on the watch is set to Mirror iPhone so if you set DND on the iPhone the watch will also enter DND. You can change this under My Watch in the watch app on the iPhone.

A-ha! Thank you! This resolved what I posted above. I had not noticed that option for some reason.
