I have an IPhone 13 Pro and it is currently on iOs 16.1.

This problem has been around for a few months for me.

I turn on do not disturb before bed. At some point overnight it turns itself off. And it’ll wake me up with notifications. Either email, texts, notifications from our camera system.

This problem doesn’t happen every night though and that’s what makes it weird. Some nights I turn on do not disturb and it will stay on until the next morning when I turn it off.

Do not disturb or any focus mode is not set up for a schedule. I’ve checked that thinking it was a schedule turning it off but it isn’t that.

If I turn it on by swiping down in control center it does this. If I goto settings and turn it on there, it does this. If I tell Siri to turn it on, it still happens.

Any ideas?

I have never been able to figure out the do not disturb feature on the iOS devices.

For me, it seems like "share across devices" would cause odd behavior. I've turned that off on all devices and Foci stay on as planned/set/desired.

I thought I included that.

I have this turned off already as well

I had a problem related to yours. Your problem sounds different so this may not help. I was receiving notifications with beeps over night even though I had do not disturb on. The problem was Apple's weather app's critical alerts notifications which appear on the Lock Screen and play a sound even if a Focus is on or the iPhone is muted. In Weather's notifications I turned Critical Alerts off and that solved the problem.

If you are using standard DND without any additional settings (schedule, app/contact exclusions, etc) then I have no clue why it would disable itself randomly.

What I would suggest is to actually set a new Focus mode to a schedule and with some custom settings, just so you can try a different tactic for problem solving.

I'll try this!
