There is no advantage to signing up on postpaid other than to AT&T, if you go over your 2g on the 30th day, they will charge you for 1gb for 1 day! Great deal for AT&T, not so much for customers. So now that the first free month is over for a lot of folks, AT&T has now decided that the only way they will allow you to cancel your post paid service is to go to their store. I was refused by the CSR and her Supervisor to cancel my service, and the only way to do so is to visit one of their stores!

When I asked why, they stated that you need to get a new sim, and ONLY the stores have them, they can not mail them out. I asked what if I don't want service at all, and was told it didn't matter, I HAVE to go into the store to cancel, no matter what.

Is this even legal?!?

I did mention that the only way to purchase the iPad thru AT&T forced you into postpaid, and that their site even stated you can cancel over the phone and the supervisor stated that the web site is wrong.

*edit*

I was able to finally cancel over the phone, but I had to talk to iPad support. customer service had no clue. I STILL have to go to a store to get prepaid sims tho.

*edit 2*

iPad support only notated one iPad account, and not the other... Wow, even with competition they are horrible...
