There seems to be some confusion and some reports that Spirit jailbroken phones have been put into infinite boot loop when restoring or upgrading with iTunes 9.2

This seems not to be the case for the members below.

There is a major problem with jailbreaking while having iTunes 9.2 installed. Nontheless, be careful because people are reporting being totally stuck in the infinite boot loop and can not get out of it in relation to iTunes 9.2

I have a iPhone 3GS that ran Spirit 3.1.3 until an hour ago when I upgraded to 4.0... no problems here!

Others are reporting many problems with the aforementioned setup. Anyone with a Spirit jailbroken 3g upgraded to 4.0 without problems?

Yep, i have just done it now. No issues

I think the problem is if you are trying to jailbreak 3.1.3 when you have iTunes 9.2 installed. Not updating to iOS4

Copy that, I am glad it seems to be working. Searching the net has a lot of conflicting information, as usual.

I will change the title.

This was only not using 9.2 to jb using spirit. there has never been a issue after the JB. Also for the last time Spirit was a one shot deal it was only meant for 3.1.3 so don't try it on 4.0
