Do some MiniDisplay to DVI Adapters Obstruct the FW800 Port on 2011 MBP's?

I have a 2011 17" MBP.

I need to get a MiniDisplay(Thunderbolt) to DVI adapter.
(Preferably one with a 6' cord.)

I see these listed from <$5 to $30 for Apple's version.

I have read that some of these will obstruct access to the FW800 port.
This is a deal breaker.

Can anyone with a 2011 MBP, tell me they have a MiniDisplay to DVI adapter that does not obstruct the FW800 port, and who the manufacturer is?

I bought these two items:

Moshi MiniDisplay Port to HDMI Adapter with Audio
6Ft Mini DisplayPort to DVI Male Adapter Cable

Neither one blocks the fw800 port in the slightest way.
