Hi I just bought a mid 2014 Macbook Pro 13" with 256gb SSD. It came with a LG screen A020. The screen looked washed out. I went in for an exchange and got another A020 screen. Looks washed out again.

AFter some more researching, I read on a different site that apple no longer uses A018 model screen (Samsung screens) for 2014 Mac book Pro. Can anyone verify that? I was debating between just returning the laptop vs. trying another exchange, which I'd prefer not to do if A018 is no longer made for 2014 models Thanks for the help.

A02A/A029 is the new designation for displays.

A02A many believe is Samsung whereas A029 people think might be LG.

A018 is still being used with rMBP 2014 models. I got A020 on my first refurbished one and A018 on second before making the leap to 2015.

It *seems* like lots of folks in the forums are getting the A02A in their 2015 machines. This is the screen in my machine and it's beautiful.
