Do the 2017 MacBook Pro's still need to have the battery calibrated?

I've heard both yes and no but being so accustomed to this I have calibrated my battery 1ce already in the 3 weeks I've had this. Does calibrating still hold true?

The battery does not need that procedure --- but if it makes you feel better, it shouldn't cause any problems.
(If you do this, try to not allow the battery to drain completely to 0%)
How often? Once or twice a year, at most.

Finally, use your new MBPro as you like it. The battery will likely withstand your attempts at prolonging its life.

Like most rechargeable lithium batteries, it does not.

However, most of the same care and safety guidelines still apply that were applicable to the MBP batteries that needed calibration.
