I did a search, but did come across anything, so sorry if its been asked already...

Does anyone know if the brick & mortar Apple stores carry the 2.4GHz MacBooks with either the 128GB or 256GB SSDs?

I know the stores often carry "ultimate" models of certain laptops - both my previous original 2.16GHz (Yonah) 15" MacBook Pro with a 100GB 7200 RPM HD was normally a BTO model but carried at my local Apple store. Same deal with the Black MacBook I use now; it was a 2GB RAM model when standard models were 1GB.

Anyway - anyone know if the Apple stores carry the SSD MacBooks (not the Pro/Air) in stock??

They stopped carrying BTO models in the store.

They don't even carry the base model 8-core Mac Pro anymore.

I would just buy your own SSD and put it in yourself. You can get a much better drive and it will be cheaper too.
