Do the hardshell cases fit the new macbook?

Is the aluminum covering easily scratched?
What would be the best way to protect it if I were to buy one?

I'm not sure if it will fit "snugly" since the newer model is thinner than the previous model... BUT

I must warn you... I don't have the hardshell case but my brother & sister do... and it did scratch up their macbook pro's. BADLY...

The reason being since dust gets caught in between the shell and the notebooks, the dust causes vertical scratches against the notebook. I'm not sure why.. but the only thing that I can figure why is because when they open and close the case... the dust moves up & down.

I wouldn't recommend it.. but I am pretty sure others will give you their opinion.

From what I've seen from my girlfriend's new MacBook, the aluminum holds up pretty well. She pretty much throws it in her backback with other books *yeah, I cringe when I watch that happen* and it hasn't seen any scratches yet.

I doubt the new hard shell fits with the glassbooks. It's has completely different dimensions and form factor.
