So glad my 2012 quad core i7 server Mini is still going strong.

I don't do any video or music - it's my back office computer connected to a 27" Apple Thunderbolt LED display which is an awesome combo....

The US Refurb Store has 4 2020 minis right now from $679 i3/8GB/256 to $1779 for a i7/32GB/1TB. (There's also 25 iMacs ... and 2020 MBAs!!)

I just checked the Apple refurb store and now there are a dozen Mac Minis for sale. Must be the pre-WWDC rumor jitters.

Only two showing for me now - an i3 and an i5. Based on what people have posted, it sounds like a different assortment of Mini's appear depending on something like your ISP, location or ??? As posted earlier, 13 Mini's dropped yesterday afternoon when I checked, an hour earlier there were none and before that I only saw two appear on Monday. When I bought mine yesterday, it continued to show in the refurb store for about a half-hour afterwards and then vanished.

Funny, I had gotten into such a habit of constantly checking the refurb store, now that mine's on the way there's an empty place in my daily routine, LOL. 😂

Expect a couple of i7, 1TB machines in the store soon. Just returned a couple with poor Space Gray finish.

I have never had much luck with the refurbished store. Seems like a lot of the returns that show up there are people who bought big memory upgrades and then realized how stupid that was. There is an i3 out there now for 1200 with 32Gb of memory.

What I do have success with is Best Buy "open boxed" which still has the full manufacturers warranty. Got my current 2018 i5/256 for $896 there a year ago. Just bought my wife an i3/256 for $695 a month ago.

My last 5 or 6 Apple devices have been via refurb store. I just bought a new mbp last week and it saved me $250. If you have specific specs you’re looking for you have to be super diligent about checking regularly.

I picked up a Lenovo ThinkPad on a BestBuy open box deal. Got it for a song and still have it. Refurbs and open box deals can save you a ton if you're lucky enough to find just want you want.
