Do the old macbook cases work for the new macbooks ?

Im getting one on the 30th, would those cases work ? Because I wanna carry it around with me at school and I think it may be dangerous with out a case

the footprint is similar, but the new MB is thinner. It will fit in an old MB case, but won't fit snugly. of course, you could have just done a google search and compared the dimensions yourself...too much work I know.
