Do the plasticy cases scrape your Iphone?

As the title says I tend to not use these cases but with my 5C coming I got a hard plastic one with a rubber back will it be ok?

Every single plastic case I've ever had has scratched my iPhone (all of them from the 3G) — the JuicePack, Otterbox Commuter/Reflex, and the Lifeproof made a scuff in the glass near the prox sensor. Honestly, I'm going back to the days of using no case.

Scratches usually occur in cases where you press the lock of volume rocker and the tightening of your grip causes the plastic to press in where ever the most force is.
