I haven't been able to figure this out via Google.

Do the E2Cs have the ability to unplug from the longer cord?

Anyone using this setup? E2Cs with MPA adapter?

no the E2Cs already have a long cord, but they will work with the shure mpa as well as any other brand of headset. unlike shure's new SE series of headphones the old E series does not allow for the modular cord design.

I use my E4Cs with the MPA, and they work fine albiet for one issue, and it isn't cord length, at least for me. The heavy and angled plug of the ExC models makes securing the mic of the MPA rather.....annoying. Since it clips at the base of the mic, the top-heavy connection pulls the mic down, and since the clip can slide up and down the cod it drags the mic down. Very annoying. It's a great device, but their clip mechanism design really needed to be thought out more. So much so I'm actively considering the new V-Moda with the integrated mic/control switch, even knowing they'll suck compared to the E4C.
