Maybe it's just me. I've been posting on the SOCOM forums recently and haven't been around here as much. They are getting like 200 posts every half hour over there, so maybe coming from a site with that much traffic to here just seems a bit slow....hahaha

Well I don't think we quite reach those rates of posts but we're pretty busy.

I find them slow at times. In fact, I couldn't even get in last night for awhile. My browser would just hang. Other websites loaded just fine.

I had the same problem last night. Whenever I would try to click on a link, it would hang until it timed out. It lasted about 30 or 40 minutes and then everything seemed to go back to normal.

Arn said yesterday in his Twitter that MR was down due to host issues (the host was down too). Maybe they are still having issues if you experience any slow downs.

Also, Doctor Q said we get around 10 000 posts a day so that would be roughly 208 posts every half an hour.

I've also had this exact problem earlier this afternoon, which surprised me given that even the east of the US - let alone the west of the US (where most MR members seem to come from) are several hours behind western Europe & so might not be online. Anyway, are there any reasons why the forums might be a bit slower?

Cheers

I think we need to clarify whether we mean slow as in:

A) not a lot of activity on the forums (i.e. not enough people posting)

B) Latency, poor loading times, and timeouts

because we've got both of these discussions going on simultaneously in this thread and I'm not sure everybody realizes that.
