I have the island pendants installed already. I was waiting on the table light because I needed to see if the table I already had would fit in the space. Will the cone light work with the style of the pendant lighting over the island? I am not happy with the chairs that I have, but as I said I already had them and need to use them for the time being...so do not take those into considering when viewing the picture with the table. All opinions welcome, even the negative. All comments will help me make a better decision. Thanks!

Being honest, it’s a bit to much for my tastes. When it comes to lights, minimal is best for me.

I am completely baffled by this choice.

From a practical standpoint, you want task lighting over a task space. A kitchen island is a task space. Have you ever walked into a restaurant and seen a pendant lamp in the kitchen? Or a chandelier in an auto repair shop? Or candelabra in an operating room?

Put decorative lighting in leisure spaces.
