Do U.S T-mobile data plans work on the iphone?

i have an unlocked 1.1.1 iphone.

i popped in my friend's t-mobile sim card (he has the sidekick 3 with the sidekick plan) and it makes calls and texts perfectly but I can't operate safari or google maps.

i REALLY hope that it works

It does work. I know because I use one.

You have to go into settings and change the APN to wap.voicestream.com and leave the rest blank
