I found a USB-c hub on Amazon with Gigabit Ethernet and 3x USB-a 3.2.
The main thing I want to use it for is to backup usb3 hard drives to the NAS. This means both the Ethernet (my connection to the NAS) and the USB hub will be operating simultaneously.
The USB ports on the hub are Gen3.2 so I assume this thing has at least 5Gbps bandwidth. Does that mean a hard drive reading at 120MBps (0.96Gbps) and Ethernet at 1Gbps leaves me 3Gbps of headroom. So performance should not suffer?
or are there other issues with using 2 devices on a hub other than bandwidth?
