Do Used Verizon iPhones Exist yet?

My boss wants an iPhone but his contract ends in January of next year. He seems to think that he can get a used Verizon iPhone, bring it into a store and get it activated on his account. Oh and he wants me to track down said iPhone.

Before I waste my time, is this even remotely possible?

Yes he can buy and activate a used Verizon iPhone. Check eBay or Craigslist

Seems that he doesn't understand contract pricing.

It's not quite a "used" iPhone. It's a no-contract iPhone that cost more.

He might just want to look into early upgrade. Early upgrade price would cost the same as a non-contract iPhone 4.

I can see that folks are keeping the eBay tradition of ripping folks off via shipping charges alive and well.
