I don't. What about you?

A many times I have gotten along with people that I'm supposedly not compatible with. I think the creative people/cultures/whatever who invented this stuff just kept everything very general to be correct most of the time.

I prefer simpler things like

. I do believe that Horoscopes (Especially those damn premiums sms ones, that I have to credit everyday ), make people a LOT of money.

Penn & Teller did a recent episode of their show BS about Astrology. It was great. In their usual way they poked fun and provided tidbits of information that debunk it. Total hogwash in my opinion.

Why would I believe in this stuff? I'm a stubborn Leo, after all.

Nope. But I used to (for kicks) get mine sent to my phone as an SMS, was a free service of Virgin Mobile but they eventually charged. So it drained £5 worth of credit when I was on holiday .

Nope. The astrological predictions might be more believable if they were at least realistic.
Things like, "a coworker will backstab you today", "your girlfriend is cheating on you", or "you definitely will not get that promotion/raise you were hoping for." Instead they're always vaguely cheerful and none specific.

No, not really. Though, I have a friend who does...quite deeply in fact.

You can interpret any fortune to make sense for you. They are typically vague enough to do that. Sometimes, they make complete sense and are scarily accurate. Other times, they are completely wrong. If you think about horoscopes, logically, there is no way they can be real. Falls into the same camp as religion.

My feelings are summed up pretty well in this quote from the show "The Big Bang Theory":

Penny: I'm a Sagittarius which probably tells you way more than you need to know...
Sheldon: Yes... it tells us that you participate in the mass cultural delusion that the sun's apparent position relevant to arbitrarily defined constellations at the time of your birth somehow affects your personality.
Penny: Participate in the what?

I only adhere to the teachings of the Chinese Zodiac Placemat during poo-poo platters. :D

I think I'm a rabbit.

I went to a Chinese restaurant with some buddies in college, we were seated and those placemats were on the table and one of them looked at the hostess dead in the eye and said "Is this the menu?" Obviously he was joking but I don't think she found it that funny :D

I'm a Gemini - part of me wants to believe, yet part of me realizes that we are an insecure species that needs artificial constructs/superstitions to help us feel better about ourselves and out place in the world

It's baloney worthy of P.T. Barnum.
