Also, would you like to see or do you think that Apple will implement more than a 2x zoom lens next year?

It’s was 2016 when apple brought out the iPhone 7 Plus with 2x zoom, so it’s now 3 years old.

There’s rumours that Samsung are putting a periscope and having at least 5x optical zoom in the S11 and with Huawei likely to up it further next year, hopefully Apple will provide some competitor in this area and not leave it until 2021.

I would love a 5x optical zoom. With all the focus on the camera this year, I wonder what next year's upgrades will bring. There's a lot of talk about 5g and other things, but I'd love if the camera got another big update next year.

You think it’s bad enough with the current camera bump... :)

Extended zoom requires a tripod to prevent hand shake that may even be too much for OIS/EIS so it defeats the purpose of using a compact phone in the first place. If I have to carry a tripod might as well use a DSLR.

Yes, I would really like at least a 3X zoom.

I use the 2X a lot with my 7 Plus and I was hoping to see a 3X in the PRO MAX.

Not necessarily: you can use walls, poles or any other stable supports to improve your stability.

No one talking about how they’ll deal with the focal length. It sounds great until you’re stuffing a barrel lensed phone in your pocket.
