it is a small button, next to the right Command key.
to be honest, after 15 months of using this computer, today is the first time i noticed that i had such a button. i was trying to use it as a right Alt button as i usually do on a regular keyboard, and it performed the "enter" button function - that's how i "discovered" it.

if you have something highlighted and hit that small enter button you can rename....actually it's the only way i know how to rename files and all i use that button for.

Then you will be happy to know that the normal enter button does the excact same thing...:p

Yes, in Photoshop when editing text, I need to press the small enter button to make the changes permanent...pressing the big enter button only adds a paragraph break.

This button was there on my first generation MacBook but is no longer there on my new MacBook. I guess they realised that no one uses it. The scroll lock button is gone too :)

I have Adium configured so that Return makes a break and the message is sent with Enter - which actually has saved me from sending dumb messages numerous times.

I have never used it in the 18 mos. I've had my MacBook. I had to look down and find it just to see what you were talking about.

Never used it. Honestly, when I saw the thread title I had to lean forward and look for the key.

The only time i used it was when i use to use the real AIM version on the mac.. because it would not reconize the return/enter button for some weird reason:apple::apple:

someone want to explain the best way to remap the small enter key to be froward delete?

As I said in my post above, use the DoubleCommand application - it's free and open source! It also allows you to remap other keys for various functions. Check out the screenshot below.

You can download it from here:
http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/

Cheers :)
