I know that is highly doubtful but it makes me wonder.

My sense of self-worth is not that inflated.

I’m not dumb enough to use my real name on most sites. This includes MacRumors.

Just spell my handle backwards.

I can think of at least 3 or 4 members on here who have there first and last name as their username, even their full DOB in their bio, along with a picture of them self for the avatar. Some people are completely comfortable exposing there personal credentials, but in today’s day of cyber infiltration, it’s way too risky. The Internet is a very powerful tool, and when manipulated, people who have wrongful intent don’t need much information to wreck havoc with your personal life.

Everybody has something to lose when you divulge too much information about yourself on the internet , that’s why there needs to be safeguards in place that you keep yourself anonymous as much as you can, because you don’t know what avenues somebody has access to to find out more about you. For example, it could be as little as posting your license plate from a car photo or a boat serial number maybe somebody posted in the Community forum attached to a trailer with there vehicle parked on the street. It Might seem harmless when you’re posting a photo, but then again, now that information is exposed.

As much as I enjoy discussion with a lot of long-term members on this site, everybody’s a digital stranger to me regardless of their establishment.
