So after last night going out and about battery life was horrible(yes i know a beta) so re-installed iOS 6 after almost a week with iOS 7 now.

The old icons look so much better IMO. I am sure there many will agree once iOS 7 is released to the masses in a few months. The old ones actually look cleaner than the new ones other than a couple obvious exceptions.

Everything else about iOS 7 is better though and cleaner looking. That should all stay, keep the new icons as well for the people that like them. Just add a toggle for the old look that many will most likely prefer.

If not, there is always jailbreaking to accomplish this :)

You'll get used to them :p and as above said when they release iOS7 to the public a JB will be right around the corner to comply with your wishes :D

Soon iOS will have settings for almost everything any user wants.

Want the Old icons back? Go to settings > general > accessibility> toggle Old icons.
Want the old iOS 6 interface back? go to Settings> General > About > Tap the software version 6 times and you go back to iOS 6.
Think iOS 7 is too difficult for you to use? Go to Settings > General > Accessibiltiy > Disability mode
THink iOS 7 is too 'white and is for giggly girls'? Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Enable Boy Mode
/s
Seriously, people want settings for everything.

I would gladly pay for the tweak / theme that makes the iOS 7 look like iOS 6 if it ever came on a future jailbroken iphoen

Shiny icons and completely flat interface ?

Sounds like a genius idea right?

No. I would rather see the new icons be polished and updated than have Apple do something inconsistent like that.

Don't worry, you'll forget the old icons ever existed after Apple replaces the OSX icons with the same icons. ;(. That's apparently in the works.

Be careful what you wish for.

They shouldn't give us a toggle. They should give us good icons.
And what if Apple believes these are good icons, based on the feedback they receive?

I don't see Apple doing this at all. If one wants to have this type of option, then they can stay with iOS 6 or get into the jail breaking community and go that route.

You're a part of the party who believed Apple should have included an external disc drive in the MacBook Air years ago. It won't happen.

Wrong I wouldn't waste my money on a MacBook Air or any of apples computer lines. Way over priced. I have built plenty of hackintoshes with better specs for half the price

Will not really miss the old icons, and can't see Apple letting that happen. Have to keep moving ahead, not backwards.

I don't know of anyone, who is in the habit of placing old Honda Accord seats in their new BMW, because they like the look of the old seats better.

In my opinion, the question of the OP follows the same kind of action.

That's a bit like keeping your old tee shirt which is ripped and stained, in case you get bored of your new one... why?
