For Apple watch owners:

When you get to the end of a menu list, and you try to scroll past the last item, do you get haptic feedback and feel resistance in the digital crown (i.e. is the crown harder to turn than normal)?

I noticed a difference in the units in the Apple store. 1/5 watches did this, which must be the correct operation of the watch since it seems to take coding to get it to do this only at the end of a list/menu. 4/5 watches just spun freely and loosely all the time.

That one watch that did it also had a crown with a higher resistance in general (even in the middle of lists) and a better tactile feedback when clicking the crown.

I get haptic feedback, but only if I turn the crown vigorously past the end of lists. Just nudging against the end doesn't result in haptic feedback. The additional resistance of the crown is just an illusion.
