Basically do you use ur charger across your idevices? Can you use the larger ipad charger to our rMini/mini/ip5s/nano etc?

Yes, you can. It is safe to do so.

Caveats: 5w (iphone) charger will charge the ipad slower than the normal 12w charger. Other than that the 5w/12w charger will work with any product with lightning.

The same applies to the 30-pin charger for older devices.

so basically the actual watt doesn't matter and wouldn't burn the anything. its just it will charge faster. thanks for confirming.

Yes : I use the ipad charger for many devices.
There is a USB power supply standard BC1.1 ensures that all devices can be supported to 500mA ( SDP/CDP ).

There are however subtle variations in way different companies chargers identify (enumerate) higher current availability e.g. from a 10W charger ( DCP says 1.5A ) ; so an ipad might only get 500mA from a Samsung 10W charger and a Samsung will probably not draw 2A from an apple 10W charger; but an ipad can pull 2A from an apple ipad 10W charger.
