I have an Acer CB282K monitor for my Mac mini and see that the brightness control is grayed out when I push the monitor menu button. In this condition I see no way to control this monitor's brightness at all.
What am I missing here? Can anyone help me understand this? The Acer web site has no Mac information at all.

Edit: SOLVED! After posting this request I poked around the menus and found that the monitor comes in "ECO" mode. This prevents boosting the brightness. Once put in standard mode the brightness control is no longer grayed out.
I'm leaving this post up for future reference, in case anyone else has this problem.
