Do you have Dark Sky set to "always" track your location?

I found that when I set it to "Always" as recommended by the developer the location icon in the status bar is always there. I know it doesn't affect battery or anything but it makes it so I can't tell when something else is using my location and that's really annoying. Does anyone have it set to "while using the app" and does the app still work that way?
