Do you highlight text when reading web pages?

I know, that when reading a news article in Safari, I find myself constantly highlighting/selecting text. Random text. It seems like I just have to keep myself busy. Do any of you have this "addiction" too? Post back. Thanks.

YESS!! I am always doing that. I am always jittery. Tapping fingers, shaking my feet. And I thought I was alone with the highlighting

When using a mouse

I'm inclined to fidget. Not so much with the touchpad. Not really a compulsion, more an infrequent boredom break when reading longer articles. Guess it's not unlike getting busy with a highlighter on a lengthy document.

Most times if it's a long article, I'll highlight random parts, and just keep dragging/clicking. Doesn't even need to be on the part I'm reading, it just keeps me entertained.

I'll select part that im reading, especially if i have to look away or leave the computer, and when scrolling. Also when I'm having to leave a certain part of the doc to look elsewhere.

i used to a lot, but found out making the text a lot bigger makes it easier to read.

so i just command + it tell im done reading and command - when done.

Wow, I probably am ADHD, but I do the same things. I will constantly right click (while on my PC) as fast as I can all around what I'm reading. Or I'll scroll up and down one line as fast as I can. Or I'll highlight random things and it's very fast and compulsive.

Hmmm never thought about this but yes i probably do. I heard if you cant do something for 2 hours then you should get checked. I never thought it applied til now hmmm

My fidgety bit comes from actively shaking my legs. I'll highlight text if I'm going away to do something else so I don't lose my place, though.

I thought it was just me! I always highlight the paragraph/post/etc that I'm reading incase I need to scroll up or down and then I can easily get back to what I was reading before without having to search for it
