Do you like the feel of the plastic back and glass or would you prefer a case? Post your opinions here :D

i hate my 3G's back.
its just so slippery and has light leak and just gets grimy sometimes.
i definitely hoping for a matte or some kind of soft touch finish on the next model.
(sort of like that android phone with the white soft touch back)

You know the iPhone 3G/3G S back does look great... but as said already I would rather a matte back, it's just way too slippery. For now my iPhone stays in a case.

I use the Invisible Shield by Zagg. It keeps stock appearance which I like but adds not only durability but great feel and grip with no bulk.
I also have it on my MBP.

I prefer it without a case. When I put my incase on it feels too clunky, especially in my pocket. There are probably thinner cases out there, but I imagine I would still like the feel better without them.

A matte case might be nice though as it is a bit slippery.

It's a bit slippery but my 1st gen iPhone was much more slippery and fell out of my hand many more times.

i currently have a case on mine because without it, the back will get super grimy with fingerprints and scratches to the apple logo, making it no longer shiny. touch screen on 3gs is kinda losing its oleophobic-ness over some time in use i think, not too sure though.

i would also prefer a matte case.

If it's covered with a case, that also makes it "no longer shiny" since no one can see it.

Cases suck. I have a crack on the back of my phone from when I dropped it and I'm still glad I don't have a case. My cracked back looks better than every case I've ever seen.

actually, that is very very true.... I actually consider taking it off at times but the feeling of the grime at times is annoying and the sight of it too

Yeah, only thing i hate is the fingerprints..and the slipperyness but i like that feeling for some reason..idk about the grime....my oily hands arent really grime

I love the feel of the naked phone, but I also love not being a nervous wreck while using it so I use it with a case. :)

Exactly, I dream about carrying my 3GS around naked, but I know that dream would quickly turn into a nightmare.

Plus I want to keep perfect resale value on it for next june-july

I use switcheasy rebel case. I prefer the phone with the case on actually makes its the perfect size and feel.

I dont use a screen protector since my 3G had been in my pocket with keys and change and that thing had no scratches at all.

I had a switcheasy rebel and I loved it until the spine didn't fit the phone as tightly over time so I switched to the Incase Slider now and I love it.

The "rubber" grip on my old Blackberry Curve was awesome. Kept it easy to pocket.

I wish the iPhone had something similar. Any type of case on the iPhone ruins it's pocketability for me.

Oh, and I should add that I've been using an iSkin Solo FX which, IMO, makes the phone keep its pocketability (though I never put it in one, other than the one in my purse :) ) but offers some protection from scratches and dings as well. So far it, the CandyShell, and the iFrogz Luxe have been my favorite cases for adding some protection but not a ton of bulk.

I like the look, but part of me wishes Apple went with the matte black finish so it wouldn't be so prone to scratches. I cannot use a case after trying both the Reveal and Slider. The touchscreen is very durable but the back is just awful.

Power support air jacket black. Matte feel, extremely thin.
