Should have just used the eyedropper tool to copy the color of the ambient light in the room to the background of the iPhone picture.

For more realism, you would have then given the shaded illusion of three dimensions by putting in a top corner of the room.

It's not two left hands, the display is mirrored. When you open Photo Booth on Macs, the image is mirrored.

What? In the picture in the phone, his LEFT hand is holding a camera. Then we see his left hand holding the phone. I am pretty sure that is his left hand in both...

Haha..FIAL.

But its a good attempt.

Haha...spelling FAIL

Also, he didn't say that this was the new iPhone, simply 'Do you like this?' Obviously evenyone assumed it was meant to be a real or real fake new iPhone with this being Macrumors and all

It is, but that's exactly what it would look like. His right hand would look like a left hand in the iPhone's screen, because the iPhone would display a mirror image of what the camera sees.

Just like in this photo that I just made. I am holding my iPhone with my right hand, but because the MacBook Pro displays a mirror image of what my camera sees, it looks like a left hand. I do not have two left hands.

So, obviously the image above is fake and it's actually two of his left hand ... but that IS what it would look like. The reason Apple has the computer display a mirror image of what the camera sees is because it feels like you're looking into a mirror. If you turn off mirroring, it's very awkward composing an image. You have to move in the opposite direction that you want your face in the frame to move.

Good call! Unfortunately the OPs picture gives away that both are actually his left hand. 1: The bracelet/watch band 2: The camera in the OPs hand on the iPhone would also be mirrored and it isn't.

You people are thinking about this way too much.

The thread is a joke. I got a laugh out of it because he took a picture of himself holding a camera on his iPhone and then set it to display on his screen to give the illusion that he has a front-facing camera on his iPhone.

Enough with the freaking "left hand" ********.

I thought it was very funny! Thanks for the chuckle! :D
