I'm trying to find a sweet spot.

The only thing I don't like about calendar, is, say I have an event between 12pm - 2pm, the event disappears from my devices, before the event has ended.

Am I doing something wrong?

Is there a setting to change this?

Reminders keeps the reminder on the screen, until ticked off.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I never use the reminder app, but maybe that's just a question of getting used to it. I've never got into the habit. As far as the calendar is concerned, I've unfortunately become very accustomed to a ‘timeline view’ (e.g. Timepage) over the last few years. As far as I know, the iOS calendar still doesn't have this (the list view behaves very differently). That's why I'm sticking with FirstSeed for the time being.

Is Reminders so fully integrated into Calendar that one can delete the Reminders app and still do everything Reminders-related via Calendar?

Like how you can delete the Contacts app and just use the Phone app to do everything Contacts-related?

I use both, always have. Calendar events don't disappear 🧐 so I assume you're talking about "Up Next." That doesn't bother me that it's gone because I'm.... in the event already ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I use both too. Absolutely hated the combined view. But reminders is piddling me off due to the glitch which prevents it syncing between iPhone and Mac if you mark a reminder as complete or add a new one on your iPhone. This has been going on fur almost 2 years.

Reminders seem unfinished. To get reminders to pop up on calendar the list attribute is called “__untitled__” which shows up in the GUI. Sort of ugly they exposed that implementation detail to us.

I use both. The combined view didn't work for me because I have some reminders that repeat daily, and I'm used to having reminders and appointments separate.

I've never had any problem with reminders syncing between my phone and my Mac. It doesn't matter which side I add a reminder or mark it completed. It shows up on all my devices.
