Just got my verizon iP5. Instructions state:

1. Turn off old phone
2. Call 1.877.807.4646 to initiate LTE service from any phone other than your new phone - I assume this also means my old phone that is off.
3. Turn on your new phone and follow prompts.

Can I just call from my old phone then shut it off and turn on my new one?

I suspect the reasoning here is that disconnecting the old phone to activate the new phone would terminate the call.

They would like to be able to finalize the call (and results) with the customer.

ive read you can just do it online.. go to your udp in my verizon, click switch/activate devices.

it will ask for the imei # (on your iphone box ) then ask fo the sim # on your sim card.
