Do you need to have iOS 7.1.2 installed to install iOS 8?

Tried updating to iOS 8 but i'm only getting the iOS 7.1.2 update (I'm currently on 7.1.1). Do I need to update my phone to 7.1.2 first before I can get iOS 8?

I'm in the UK and I'm pretty sure iOS 8 has also been officially released here as well already.

No you don't, but considering iOS 8 was just released give it some time to show up for you.

There was someone on YouTube who upgraded their iPhone 4 from 4.3.5 to 7.0 so I think 7.1.1 to 8.0 will be fine with nothing to worry about.

In fact, if your running iOS 7.1 or later there shouldn't be any issues upgrading to 8.0 OTA.
