I noticed the plastic around the phone looks like it would be a good protector, anyone put it in their leather case or other case without peeling off the plastic covering it comes with?

I do this every year waiting for my crystal shields, I cut the top and bottom.

No harm in that, I leave the plastic film on my mattresses and leather couches too.

Well ten threads is a bit much:rolleyes:

Maybe you should actually read them, you might find something interesting or laugh a little. :p
You are too much in the numbers.

So I ended up cutting the top as they don't have holes for the speaker, so it was really hard to actually hear anyone talk. Keeping the back one on. Until I get the screen protector, I left the bottom over the home screen after discovering that accessibility option that puts a home button on screen.

I did read them and still make the same suggestion

I think this is the first time the front plastic was physically connected to the plastic on the back of the phone. I wound up cutting the plastic such that the plastic on the front came off, and I left the plastic on the back of the phone on.

I figure it would not hurt to have it on the backside of the phone. I also slipped the phone into an Apple leather case immediately after removal from the box. Will the plastic on the back make a difference? Maybe, maybe not. Now that the phone is in its case, I don't even notice it.

With cases in the past, I have noticed dirt get between the case and the back of the phone, and I am always a bit paranoid that these will scratch the back of the phone.
