Which would you rather have a phone with full keyboard and 2mp camera or T9 and 3.2 megapixel camera? Which has the biggest coolness factor?

Both of those look like crap, sorry.

Are you getting a new phone?
Hope so. Been breaking my dad down slowly. (I will pay him the monthly payment every month if that makes sense) Plus they dont look that good but they are...I think.

How about a phone that's good at calling people?
A pho..(try to hold giggle) calling people?...(heheh)....texting is far more convenient. :D

Who really uses the phone's camera seriously? I'd go for a full keyboard.
Japanese do! :D Thanks!

I say a phone with a good keyboard.

And a small digital camera.
I bet there are TONS of options in Tokyo.

i voted camera, which can be quite useful in school (i take pictures of diagrams that are drawn on the board, lab results, etc.). but if the full KB phone has at least 2mp AND autofocus, i'd pick full KB. from my experience with phone cameras, autofocus > mp.

I do all of the above so that makes sense! :D I am not really sure how to find out if the phone has autofocus....

yep. what's great about it is that i literally use my phone as a portable scanner, and it allows me store digital copies of notes and stuff on my computer. in addition to saving time and reducing the use of paper/toner, it's a heck lot easier when it comes to filing/retrieving documents. :)

it should be listed as a feature. gsmareana.com is a pretty reliable site to look up phone specs (though i think GSM isn't used in japan).

I voted for the camera because honestly, even if that keyboard is full, it doesn't look very comfortable to type with. I highly doubt you'd be hitting any typist speeds with that thing.

I dont like QWERTY keyboards on phones, and phone cameras can be useful when they take decent pictures, so I think you know what I will choose.

EDIT: Also, T9 sucks!

Thankyou! I like T9
There are still options for 2 MP camera in Japan? My girlfriend's mobile, which she bought used, has a 2 MP camera and fingerprint reader. Total cost.....$30.
Ya you can buy 2MP here still. They are growing less common though. More and more 3.2MP and 5MP camera are popping up. But for 30 bucks? thats real cheap....what model?

Seriously. Until phones have 6+ mp and have flash and all the menu options a digital camera has, I'm keeping my sony :)

Same thing with an mp3 player on a cellphone (they're getting better though).

I prefer a small form factor and for the keypad to have a good feel to it. The buttons can't be flimsy. It's no good having a great big keyboard if it is horrible to use. Get one that is nice to type on.

I've never used a camera on any of my phones in any serious way so I can't comment on that.

SO you mean the Softbank Photos? AAC playing 5 megapixel phone with flash and other fancy camera things :p

Wait, so you use Abc? Oh God!
I have to now because my current phone does not have T9

I send "approximately" 5000 texts a month and the only thing that i regret about my phone is the lack of a decent camera "T9 all the way"

Just my 2cents

i send waaay to many txts you won't believe it! lol T9 is fantastic but I have trained my self with ABC. Lol the feature list on the Photos phone defiantly screams outa my budget! :D

I have a related rant:

I would like a FULL KEYBOARD on my smartphones. As in 0-9 + QWERTY. Not QWERTY only. I don't want to have to press anything else to get numbers.

Only the Nokia clamshells seem to have this. Is there any rationale for this at all for other manufacturers? Don't people always type numbers along with letters?
