Do you restore as new?

Does anyone else restore as new when new updates come out? Or do you just update? I always like a clean install... lol

No, just update accordingly. I may be compulsive, but not to that extremity.

i did my 3G as a new for 4.0. It was too laggy when i did the update originally.

Might sound dumb but I heard about a limit of app installs on devices. Wouldn't an update to new cause the computer to see the device as new as well?

I downgraded my 3G from 4 to 3.1.3 and now I have 3 iPhones authorized for my computer.

I always restore as new, be it a big revision or the X.1,2,3 smaller ones. I'm always testing new stuff for the new updates be it new app store or cydia apps specifically for the new version and a new restore always brings it back to perfect condition before playing with it again...
