Then sell it, that's no threat to anyone.

I have no idea what the big deal is if the phone makes a tiny tiny bit of incredibly low sound from the processor/cooling. Who really cares?

Gonna go throw out your laptop or desktop when the fan comes on?

LOL. Yea, right. Apple would love for u to throw it out....then buy it again when u come to your senses.

No because this is a complete non issue, who uses their phones with their ear pressed to the back of it in a silent room listening for some barely audible buzz? This is definitely the dumbest issue I've ever heard about it since nobody seems to notice it in normal use. So who cares?

Isn't the primary concern that the hissing shows up in the audio of recordings?

The last several generations of iPhones have also emitted a super high frequency tone that only some people can hear (I can)...it comes and goes, and due to some routine process that runs and emits this sound. In a silent room, I can hear it plain as day, but most people cannot hear that frequency.

Hasn't stopped me from buying iPhones.

The problem is the hissing can be heard when you play back a video recording. That's unacceptable IMO

Is that actually happening? I saw a lot of posts saying something like "I only hear it if I put my ear to the back of the phone and even then only barely" Does anybody have a link to a video taken with an iPhone 7 that you can in fact hear the hiss in?

I don't know; I don't have my iP7+ yet. That's just what I'd understood from descriptions of the problem.

Touch disease still hasn't been addressed yet and it's a far worse issue than HissGate.

then why bother commenting if you have zero first hand with it? lol

I have the issue and is doesn't have any crossover into videos recorded or phone calls. Been using my phone all day no issues....

Tell me how I can make the iPhone 7 hiss. This is something everyone has to see. If it's not reproducible then you might as well just do an exchange.

The internal microphone picks up the hiss and it is quite amplified when you play back a video recording.
