Do you think Apple will every extend the "tap" Touch ID functionality?

On the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Apple added "Reachability" with a double tap of the home button. I'm sure it helps some, but I don't use it.

Every iOS device I've every owned eventually got a creaky/loose home button from constant use. Do you think (maybe in iOS 9) Apple will allow use to customize that?

I would LOVE double tap for app switcher and tap for the home button.
