Do you think it is too late to buy an iPhone 4?

I am looking into buying an iPhone soon. My iPod touch recently broke and my phone is on the verge of breaking. I think my phone should last until October, but the iPhone 4 is really tempting.
Should i wait for the iPhone 5, with all of these rumors saying it should come out in early October? Or just get the iPhone 4 now? :confused:
 
It's never too late unless you think it is. Overall the iPhone 4 is quite reliable. The next model is an unknown phone. If I were in your shoes, I'd buy one now. All rumors point to a much more interesting and greatly improved iPhone 6. That's the one I will happily wait for. My iPhone 4 is just fine till then.

Are you crazy? Wait! You're going to feel like a fish-eyed fool if you get a 4 now & a month later they announce the 5.

If u arent one of those that like to have the latest and greatest, go for it. The 4 is a great phone no matter how good the 5 is.
 
Of course you shouldn't buy an iPhone 4 now knowing the new one is around the corner. Why do you need to ask this?

If, for some reason you don't like the new iPhone when its released the iPhone 4 will still be available.

WHy would he feel like a fool? Because a new phone is coming out when we don't even know what the spec's are yet? For all we know the new phone could only add LTE or H+ for some of us.. I just got a 4 a couple weeks ago and that because my other phone died.. If you want one now get one now...

Not everybody needs the newest to tout " Hey look at me I got the new iphone before you did"

Agree. Also iPhone 4's price would drop after the new phone arrive.

Off topic, I think people buying iPhone 4 from the release is lucky bunch of people considering the long period of no refresh, and the maturity of the product.It's still even being compared in reviews for newer phones just released. I'm an iPhone 3G user and boy oh boy do I feel ripped off.. lol.
 
Ok i think i will wait until the iPhone 5 comes out unless my phone suddenly fails me. Thanks for all of the replies! :)
 
Even if your phone fails you I'd wait. Worse case buy the least expensive gophone or get one off craigslist / ebay. I always keep a spare phone on hand.

You can get a Samsung A107 for $10 or a Nokia 2320 (I have this one) for $15 at bestbuy.

Ok, but why not wait at this point especially since we know the iPhone 5 will be comparable in price to iPhone 4?

We may not know the exact specs but I think it's a fairly safe bet the 5 will be an improvement over 4.

This is an easy one...WAIT! It makes no sense to buy the 4 right now with a new iPhone slated for release in less than 2 months. Also, if you decide you want the 4, the price will likely be lower in October.
 
Technically you could buy an iPhone 4 even after the iPhone 5 is announced. Would it be kind of odd to do so? Yes.
