I haven't kept up with all of the speculation, but I assume there's not much new since the official teaser. I'm hoping there'll be an improvement in using the Finder and Spotlight with metadata. I haven't tried Quicksilver's tagging capability, but it seems to be a nice way to tag and organize your files. For those who use Quicksilver, do you think or know whether the metadata you're creating would be compatible with anything Apple decides to do?

I'm hoping the new Spotlight will take advantage of xattr and those other command-line metadata tools for adding extensible, arbitrary metadata to files (and having that be indexed and searchable by Spotlight). Basically I want Spotlight to become more like the Be File System from BeOS (and less like the "hack on HFS+" it is right now).
