Do you think Macs are worth more when they are sold on Ebay for example with professional software such as the Adobe Masters Suite, Autodesk Maya, Ableton Live or anything else you could possibly think of.

If the actual license and install DVD are included, why not?

But it may be better to sell them separately, as those software titles a worth quite a lot on its own.

Or are you talking about illegally downloaded software?
Or selling without the license?
Or ... ?

Unfortunately, I'm sure that most of the people advertising the included software just downloaded it illegally as a "perk" for their buyers.

I'm not entirely sure how many auctions I've seen that offer a legit copy of things like CS4 or FCP, etc.

I didn't vote becuase it really depends on circumstance.

If I was buying a computer (which I wouldn't do on eBay personally, anyway, but...) and it had CS4 installed, I'd wonder just how legal it was. Unless the seller described himself as a professional who's just looking to update his machine I'd be a bit leery.

A friend bought a Toshiba laptop on eBay, the guys said "Oh, yeah, comes with all the CS4 software! After Effects! Photoshop! Illustrator!" and it turned out to be a pirated version.

Unless I could be absolutely certain it was genuine, which is highly, highly unlikely, I wouldn't value it any more.

Of course it will be worth more, but it still wont be worth what you could get by selling them separately.

Yeah, but if you've registered Adbove software you can't resell it. You're up the creek. The reason is because when you go buy Photoshop, for example, all you're doing is purchasing the lovely privilege of installing and using their software. Stupid. Don't get me wrong, I love Photoshop.. but the company itself it dumb.

Would a car with a carbon-fiber body kit and an exhaust upgrade be worth more than one without?

Selling extras like wireless keyboards and mouses, external hard drives or extra software would generally increase the value of a computer. Of course, remember to be careful of the license agreements with certain software as mentioned earlier.

After reading the comments, I think it'd be worth more, pirated or not, as long as the software works for them. I'm sure they'd be happy:D.

If I catch it on eBay I will report you. I am "that guy."

Never said that "I" as you put it have illegal software. You should use your words more wisely. If you read what I said I don't think they'd mind as long as it works, nothing about having illegal software as you have assumed.

I would write something pretty long but this explains my opinion and what I am not sure of.
