I don't wish to offend, but what on earth is the purpose of this thread - or are you at a loss for something worthwhile to do?What keynote? WWDC? What has this to do with the iPhone specifically?

Okay, he changed the title right after I posted and added a poll.
how about... do you think there will be a new iPhone
Considering the time-table that has been put on his possible release, I feel that Steve Jobs will at least announce the new phone. While we might see Phil & others go over the process in which they made it, why it's better, etc. etc...
OF COURSE! To much evidence to think other wise.
What evidence?
The fact that Schiller said there would be, 3.0, cheapening of NAND flash, take your pick.
What evidence? Jobs probably won't do the keynotes for the future iPhone - whenever it comes out.
Do you not consider a software update like 3.0 to be a sufficient iPhone update for 2009? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Schiller did not say that they were going to release a new iPhone each summer, did he? I was under the impression he said Apple would update the iPhone - I consider an extensive software update to fit the bill for 2009. The rest of your evidence is hardly substantial (it's not evidence, it's just occurrence plus speculation).
You know what?
I just hope that Jobs is healthy. I know that may sound corny, but I am old enough to understand how much being healthy means. (And how we take it for granted.)
If he is not healthy, you can bet he's not thinking about a silly phone...
