Because the Apple website says the new iPhone 4S can only get up to 200 hours standby (300 hours iPhone 4).
 
Definitely. We went through this discussion w/ the iPad 2. That doesn't necessarily correlate with an increase in stand by time though, as there could be other changes that negate said improvement in efficiency. Personally, I'm expecting battery life to be comparable to the iPhone 4. Anything better is a bonus.
 
Keep in mind no phone goes 200 hours without being plugged in. This is referring to when the phone is in airplane mode I would assume. The 3G network alone would suck the battery dry in 48 hours tops. I dont follow that number anyway, I look more at the talk/web time.
