I don't think so, but then again, people were refusing the idea of a 5.5 inch iPhone until it was announced in the keynote in 2014.

It looks like the iPhone 7 Plus is going to be the Pro in all but name. Rumours suggest the more expensive camera components will increase prices in line with the iPad Pro. So we may see a $200 price difference between the smaller and larger screen models.
