just wondering about everyone's opinions on this:

Which do you think is most likely?

Vote for which one you think is MOST likely :apple:

1. When USB 3.0 Comes out this summer, they'll refresh the Macbooks

2. When windows 7 comes out in Novemberish, They'll add bootcamp support

3. When the Mobile Nehalem Chipsets Come out in Juneish, they'll do a refresh

4. They will do a refresh in November where they will incorporate Bootcamp support for Windows 7, USB 3.0, and Nehalem Chipsets

5. Since the 17" MBP has 8GB RAM, They will incorporate 6 or 8 GB RAM in the upcoming refresh?

6. They will do a refresh in November where they will incorporate Bootcamp support for Windows 7, USB 3.0, Nehalem Chipsets, And 6-8 GB ram.

Thanks :D

PS: i know some of these are PUREly outrageous... no bashing plz.

To be honest with you, I normally wouldn't feel too compelled to answer your question since your concern about when the next Macbook comes out has to do timing in regards to the next version of Windows, you don't seem to care about Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Don't misunderstand me but your question belongs in the "Windows on a Mac" forum of MR, not here.

Anyways, yes the Macbook lineup should see a refresh by November. Was it seriously important to know this since November just passed 2 months ago? Where talking nearly another 10 months from now right?

OMG MAN, THERE IS NO FREGGIN NEED TO UPDATE BOOTCAMP!! WINDOWS 7 ALREADY RUNS IN BOOTCAMP FINE!!! GODDDDDDD

/end bashing ;)

lol. Seriously, bootcamp runs fine with Windows 7 already.

1. USB 3.0 ISN'T coming out this summer; it's coming out in 2010.
2. I'm already running Windows 7 in Boot Camp.
3. They're not coming out in June; it's coming out no sooner than October.
4. Rendered moot by the above truths.
5. Makes sense, except they can already TAKE 6GB.
6. Rendered moot...

3. They're not coming out in June; it's coming out no sooner than October.

have you ever noticed how apple gets the intel chipsets about 3 months earlier than pc manufacturers. example feburary update of the macbook/pros penryn processors, those werent released until april!

No. Because they don't. Because Montevina-clocked chips were in laptops months before the new MacBooks. Because Penryn Xeons were in every PC manufacturers' workstations before the Mac Pro...

What? Those CPUs were released in January/February.

Yeah these guys are right, it's more like the other way around. Apple seems to put processors into their computers a few months after PC manufacturers do.

When usb 3.0 releases every one wont be jumping to it right away... It will take a bit of time as any new technology does. Though it is backwards compatible so it doesnt matter so much.
